Agrivert is Health and Safety Winner
15 August 2006, News release from Agrivert Limited
Leading organic recycling company, Agrivert, has been awarded a prestigious RoSPA Occupational Health & Safety Award.
David Rawlins, RoSPA Awards Manager said: "Agrivert has demonstrated how seriously it takes health and safety management and is a fine example to many other companies. We would like to see more organisations following their lead by providing a positive example."
Susan Relf, Director of Health & Safety and Compliance at Agrivert, has been looking after health and safety for six years and is proud of the company's exemplary health and safety record across all areas of the business, from composting and habitat management to bio-solids and business administration. She said: "Winning this award is all down to a team effort. Without every member of staff on board, working within stringent health and safety guidelines, it would be impossible to reach and maintain these high standards."
The RoSPA Awards are not just about reducing the number of accidents and cases of ill-health at work; they are also about ensuring that organisations have good health and safety management systems in place. They help to reinforce the message that health and safety is good business and clearly demonstrates an organisation's commitment to the achievement of high levels of performance in this crucial area.
The Silver Award was presented to Susan Relf at a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel on Thursday 11 May during Safety & Health Expo 2006, the UK's top health and safety at work exhibition, which was held at the National Exhibition Centre.
