New for 2015, VWR International Ltd now manufacture their own brand of irradiated sampling and water sampling bottles, here in the UK.
The bottles available include undosed and dosed (20 mg or 120 mg of Sodium Thiosulphate to neutralise chlorine in water*), all gamma irradiated. Customers can also specify the bottle shape (square or rectangular) and cap type (domed or tamper-evident). All bottles are individually numbered for full traceability.
UK Product Manager, Tim Litchfield commented that, "This new range of PET sampling bottles adds to VWR's existing portfolio of bottles, containers and custom capabilities such as dosing of hazardous chemicals, irradiation, labelling, customised labelling (including logo), numbering and bar coding, batch management, plus options of tamper-evident, child-resistant and PTFE-lined caps. The purpose-built clean pack area allows bottles to be packed and re-packed into specific configurations - to meet customers' particular requirements".
Tim added, "By recently introducing a brand new, automated, state-of-the-art dosing and capping machine, we have extended VWR's existing production capabilities and capacity even further, which VWR customers in the water sampling market and elsewhere can now benefit from".
*Other dosed options are available including 1.8% (as recommended by the Drinking Water Inspectorate, DWI).
