Air Monitors release Model 202 Ozone Monitor
Ozone is a highly poisonous, corrosive substance and a common pollutant. It is formed in the atmosphere by a reaction between nitrogen oxides, hydrocarbons, and sunlight. Acute effects on humans include respiratory symptoms, changes in pulmonary function, increased respiratory sensitivity and respiratory inflammation. Ozone also damages the leaves of trees and other plants (photooxidation), affecting agricultural production and deteriorating the appearance of cities, national parks, and recreation areas.
