Ductile Iron And Plastics Go Head To Head In An Industry Debate

Proponents of both ductile iron and plastic pipeline systems faced each other across the debating floor at a recent event hosted by Saint-Gobain Pipelines. 'The Big Debate' was organised for members of the Midlands branches of the Pipeline Industry Guild (PIG) and the Institute of Gas Engineers and Managers (IGEM.) Speakers had just 10 minutes to convey their message - which they did with passion. At the end of the debate the debate chairman, Pat Spain of Severn Trent Water, declared the outcome 'an honourable draw'.
