powerPerfector's Ismena Clout is to be the 11th Chair of the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) after being elected by the BIFM Board on 23 February 2012.
Ismena, an account manager in the powerPerfector Partner's Team, will officially become Chair on 12 July 2012 and follows current Chair Ian Broadbent in to a two-year tenure leading the Institute.
Speaking on her appointment, Clout said "I am very excited and honoured to have been voted as the next Chair, it is a real privilege and opportunity. The next two years are going to be fascinating as the economy continues to play such a dominant part in all our lives, and BIFM will continue to support, develop and inform members as together we strive to advance the profession."
Angus Robertson, CEO of powerPerfector said: "We would like to congratulate Ismena on a fantastic achievement and a great honour.
"We firmly believe the Facilities Management industry is the heartbeat of the built environment and the most effective channel down which energy efficiency technologies, such as ours, should be delivered. Ismena understands this and her expertise in the industry is a bonus to BIFM as the industry takes advantage of new revenue stream opportunities."
Clout will spend the next few months working closely with Broadbent to ensure a smooth transition into the role. Having been Deputy Chair for the past two years, Clout is accustomed to stepping into the role of Chair as and when necessary and is part of the Board which has developed the Institute's strategy.
