19 April 2011, News release from powerPerfector
powerPerfector has been named the second fastest growing private company in the UK, according to the twelfth annual PwC Profit Track 100.
Published at the weekend, the league table ranks Britain's 100 private companies with the fastest-growing profits over the last three years of available audited accounts. The company was named the fastest growing company in London.
powerPerfector's Voltage Power Optimisation (VPO) technology gives energy, cost and carbon savings by efficiently optimising a site's supply voltage, whilst reducing business continuity risk by improving the power supply onsite. By optimising the voltage, electrical equipment runs more efficiently and consumes less energy.
The company has seen profits grow 157% a year from £674,000 in 2006 to £11.5m in 2009.
powerPerfector is trusted by some of the biggest names in energy and the environment, including DECC, defra, the Environment Agency, Ofgem and National Grid. They have also installed across the Tesco estate.
Angus Robertson, CEO said: "We have been in a privileged position to have an outstanding product that has added value to businesses cutting costs during difficult times. As a result we've been able to reinvest in our people and have more than doubled staff numbers over the same period.
"Every day, our clients are saving a combined £100,000 and 560,000kg of carbon dioxide, whilst reducing their business continuity risk by improving the quality of their power supply."
