New CIWEM Conference at WWEM

The organisers of WWEM 2006 are delighted to announce that a conference entitled "Sensor Technology in the Water Industry" will run alongside WWEM at the Telford International Centre on 1st and 2nd November 2006.

The conference is organised by Aqua Enviro Technology Transfer, an organisation providing specialist services related to both wastewater treatment and waste minimisation. These services include the organisation of CIWEM conferences and training programmes.

WWEM (Water and Wastewater Environmental Monitoring) will focus on the regulations, procedures and technologies involved with compliance monitoring of aqueous discharges to the environment. It will also address issues relating to aqueous measurements in process control.

Commenting on the benefits of running a CIWEM event at WWEM, Aqua Enviro's Managing Director Nigel Horan says "Everyone is under pressure to manage their time as efficiently as possible, and consequently it is sometimes difficult to justify time spent away from the workplace. However, we are delighted to be able to cooperate with WWEM because it will give CIWEM members and other delegates the opportunity to participate in a number of activities within a monitoring theme, all in one location and at the same time. Our conference will be complemented by both a large exhibition that will accompany WWEM and a number of Workshops, many of which will cover new sensor technologies."

Entrance to the Exhibition and Workshops will be free of charge to all visitors that have registered for WWEM. The charge for conference sessions organised by the Environment Agency and SWIG is £50+VAT per day or £75+VAT for two days (topics repeated on both days). The charge for the CIWEM conference organised by Aqua Enviro on 2nd November will be £195+VAT.
