Access Technologies Launches New BeamClamp 'Personal Assembly Tool'
26 September 2006, News release from Access Technologies Limited
Steelwork connection specialist Access Technologies has announced details of its new construction engineering software, BeamClamp "Personal Assembly Tool", which will help speed up connection design for engineers working with the BeamClamp range.
This innovative software allows engineers to enter key information, such as the type and size of steelwork to be connected and the load to be carried. By using this information the Personal Assembly Tool then automatically determines the connection and relevant BeamClamp components required, helping to speed up design time and ease the process of product specification.
"This is a revolutionary development which not only produces a parts list but also a drawing and confirmation of the safe working load," said Ian Page, General Manager at Access Technologies. "It's all part of our philosophy to assist the end user, the designer and our distributors. Now they have the necessary tools to enable them to quickly engineer a BeamClamp connection".
BeamClamp products can be used to connect all types of secondary structural steelwork together without the need for on-site welding or drilling. Due to the wide range of steel selections available, each connection will differ and the BeamClamp Configurator aids in the design of these connections, giving engineers an immediate answer. For information on the Personal Assembly Tool, contact the company direct on firstname.lastname@example.org.
BeamClamp fixings are specifically developed for the requirements of the modern construction industry, bringing unique benefits of easy specification and use, high safety performance and long-lasting reliability to all applications today.
As the only range of fixings on the market which are hot dip galvanised as standard, specifying BeamClamp could not be easier, whatever the project. Unlike with traditional drilled or welded joints, they allow easy adjustment and re-alignment to cope with site tolerances, reducing installation difficulty and time. The range also features BoxBolt cavity fixings designed to connect steelwork into hollow section or for use where access is only available from one side. BoxBolts are easily adjustable to suit unforeseen variations in steel thicknesses, making them especially easy to work with in contrast to other steel fixings on the market. BeamClamp fixings are also manufactured from ductile iron, typically giving a 25% improvement in tensile strength over the ordinary malleable iron used in alternative products.
