Montreal set to receive world's environmental industries
20 January 2009, News release from Quebec Government
One of the largest gatherings of environmental business leaders and decision-makers in North America is coming up in March and prime companies attending could see part of their expenses paid thanks to support from the Québec Government.
The AMERICANA environmental trade show and conference will take place in Montreal's Palais des Congrès on 17-19 March 2009. Visitors will have the privilege of mingling with nearly 10,000 participants from Europe, South, North and Central America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. On top of the exhibition and 3-day conference programme, the event features an International Business Matchmaking Forum, in which participants have a unique opportunity to discuss business in pre-arranged one-on-one meetings.
The event is the place to create business opportunities. Millions of dollars in sales have been signed or initiated at Americana via contacts made at the trade show or through the International Business Matchmaking Forum (IBMF). Agreements, partnerships, new strategic positioning or simply new contacts with potential customers have all appeared from the various business opportunities the participants (exhibitors or visitors) obtained at our event.
Moreover, Americana is a first-class platform to promote technical, scientific and commercial exchanges. While the conference is constantly seeking high-quality international scientific speakers, the trade show brings together a large number of exhibitors, making Americana an important forum for the exchange of knowledge and best practice in providing economically sound environmental solutions.
In attendance, decision-makers and business leaders from every sector of the industry: water and wastewater; waste management; soil and land contamination; environmental management; climate change; renewable energy and sustainable development. And the bulk of attendees have purchasing or decision-making powers, thus providing visitors the chance to talk directly with the right people.
Prime contractors seeking new suppliers can benefit from the Québec Government assistance, in the form of free accommodation and meals for the duration of the trade show, subject to their participation in the matchmaking forum.
