Cloud Sustainability's e-learning course 'Embedding Sustainable Procurement' aims to help users learn how to embed sustainability considerations in their procurement processes. It provides step-by-step guidance on the UK Government's Sustainable Procurement Flexible Framework and the British Standard BS8903: principles and framework for procuring sustainably.
The full course is made up of a number of small, easy to manage modules.
Module 1 introduces the key principles of sustainable procurement and provides an overview of the key requirements of the Flexible Framework and the BS8903 standard.
The other five modules follow the key themes of the Flexible Framework and provide guidance on how to meet the criteria within each one up to Level 2. These five themes are People; Policy, Strategy and Communications; Procurement Process; Supplier Engagement; and Measurement and Results.
The course is aimed at anyone who is interested in, or able to influence, sustainability and procurement within an organisation. This may include procurement and sustainability staff, devolved purchasers, budget managers, contract managers as well as senior management teams.
