Success at Waterblade Flows on
It's been a phenomenal year for Waterblade, which has pioneered the Waterblade water and energy-saving adapter for taps. This has seen recognition from a number of prestigious organisations and industry awards, the highlight being winning two categories at the Water Industry Achievement Awards in May; Outstanding Innovation 2016 and Most Innovative New Technology trophies
About the innovation
The Waterblade fitting turns a small trickle of water into a thin sheet of high-pressure water as wide as your hand. It operates at a flow of just 2.5 litres per minute, significantly lower than the standard tap rate of 20 litres per minute, delivering sizeable water and water heating costs. Waterblade says combined water, wastewater and associated energy savings could reach as high as £75 per tap per year.
This is just one of a number of accolades and recognition that Waterblade has received. This also includes winning the RBS Gogarburn innovation challenge and winning Ecobuild’s Big Innovation Pitch competition
Since winning these awards, the success of continued flowing!
“We are achieving considerable success in the commercial sector, WITH AN ONGOING ROLLOUT WITH RBS following an extremely successful trial at their Gogarburn head office. We are retrofitting to Anglian waters’ head offices and Northumbrian water have included Waterblade in two retro fit projects. We growing overseas orders and interest, and even an order from the Houses of Parliament!” Nigel Bamford, Waterblade managing director said.
