Revaluetech Ltd. wins Composites UK Environmental Award
Revaluetech Ltd. was awarded the prestigious Composites UK Environmental Award in 2016 at their Industry Awards 2016 ceremony held at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham on 2nd November 2016, during the Advanced Engineering 2016 exhibition at the NEC. Attending the event were members of the Revaluetech team together with guests from our supply partners Reluma GmbH., Germany and our UK client Tarmac, part of the CRH Group.
We wish to thank Composites UK for the opportunity this affords Revaluetech to promote our Re-Formative Engineering technology, enabling the use of composites engineering formulations developed by Professor Alma Hodzic, as our Director of Research to be realised.
This excellent recognition of our recent endeavors involving development of automated manufacture of heavy-duty profile structures for civil engineering, made from carefully selected polymer formulations recovered from post-use domestic and industrial streams. It has been noted as the pioneering opportunity to use a significant amount of plastics packaging waste presently consigned to landfill and offers the means to incorporate significant amounts of glass fibre waste generated by Composites UK members, in conjunction with Environment Manager, Stella Job.
The structurally loaded components enable synergistic polymer composite formulations to be used in place of unsustainable supplies of tropical hardwood, for use in coastal groynes and inland flood defence construction. With the impending ban on use of creosote, as a preservative, rail sleepers, bearers and utility poles these composites provide a viable and economic alternative solution. In place of concrete kerbing, cable troughs and fence posts savings of 95% in carbon emissions in their manufacture may be achieved.
Revaluetech Ltd. has also been nominated for businessGreen Circular Economy of the Year Award which will be announced on 2nd December 2016 at the IET, Savoy Place in London.
