S::CAN supply several different analysers to suit different applications and budgets. The entry level is a blind device the Con::nect, which is a blind data logger system running off 24vdc/110/230vac. The Con::lyte above which is 2, 3 or 4 channels giving a 4-20mA output/channel and a display for each determinand. This is a field mount IP65 device with alarms contacts. The top of the range is the Con::stat which ihas 8 channels, a touch screen and runs embedded windows NT allowing LAN connections, 4-20mA IO and is equipped with an integral modem for GPRS connection. This will run derivative spectra such a inlet protection & Ana::larm software to protect WTW from toxic/dangerous events. This is more sensitive than a fish alarm and much more friendly!
S::CAN is an exciting Austrian company that has pioneered practical online spectroscopy allowing access to many new parameters which previously required a high maintenance reagent or catalytic furnace 'Process Analyser' to complete the measurement.
The S::CAN sensors are spectrophotometric devices which can be ddirectly immersed into the sample or flow-cell mounted. The benefits are enormous, NO PUMPS, NO EXTRACTIVE SAMPLE SYSTEM, NO REAGENTS, NO MAINTENACE, AUTO SELF CLEANING.
The CARBO::LYSER measures TOC, COD, DOC, UV 254, UV TRANSMISSIVITY + many others and turbidity. The sensor (right) is a smart sensor with all the calibrations and details about the application pre-loaded making the system truly PLUG & PLAY! Auto cleaning is controlled by the analyser via compressed air/gas cleaning the optical windows automatically on demand. Several optical path length are available to cover a wide range of applications from Borehole, River and raw water through Waste Water.
The sensor comes with an application specific Global calibration enabling out of the box operation. The user has the facility to fine tune calibration by way of local calibration. The system is not affected by and can compensate for turbidity/solids in the sample or by optical drift as it employs a blank on every measurement.

COD, BOD, NITRATE, NITRITE, TOC, UV254,
TSS, NTU, TRANSMISSIVITY, AMMONIA*, DISSOLVED OXYGEN*, pH*, FINGER PRINTING (ANA::LARM), BTEX and many others.
