Growth in service team to deliver outstanding service

Leading analytical instrumentation company HACH LANGE has grown the service department and improved the size and capability of the state of the art instrument workshop at their head office in Manchester.
As a result of the recent alignment between water analysis specialists HACH LANGE and sister company HACH ULTRA coupled with the award of ISO 9001 Quality Management certification for sales and service processes, HACH LANGE is confident this will provide quicker product repair, calibration and maintenance for customers across the country.
Following the alignment of the two businesses and in line with the company's philosophy of continual improvement, this will streamline the processes with which service work are handled and ensure that customers receive a prompt and efficient service. In total there are now 24 HACH LANGE engineers situated across the UK and Ireland.
Incorporating major instrumentation brands such as Orbisphere, Polymetron, HACH, LANGE, Buhler Radiometer, GLI, Anatel and Met One, HACH LANGE manufactures test and monitoring instrumentation for gas and liquids monitoring in markets such as utilities, food/beverage, chemical, electronics, manufacturing and life sciences.
The company's Service Manager for the UK and Ireland, Terry Bailey, believes that the team growth and improved service workshop will provide a host of key benefits for HACH LANGE customers requiring maintenance and calibration on instrumentation: "The workshop is the most visible aspect of the alignment which brings together two teams. As a result of this, our customers have access to a greater depth of service staff experience and knowledge. Everything passing through the workshop is implemented within our 'Ship It Smarter' initiative; an efficient service processing and shipping system."
Terry, who has worked in the instrumentation sector of the water industry for over 20 years, believes that his team of engineers is able to provide a highly efficient service for two main reasons. Firstly, new service engineers undergo intensive training both here in the UK and abroad. Secondly, as part of a large instrumentation manufacturer, Terry's team has direct access to the people that designed every product in addition to other HACH LANGE service engineers from all over the world.
