Energy Management - Definitely a Scottish Thing!

The Scottish winter weather is all over the news here in the UK. And not for nothing: the country is freezing and covered in snow, from top to bottom. According to the BBC (, hundreds of cars lay abandoned for the second night running although Transport Scotland says on the BBC website that significant progress has been made in clearing the roads.

But what is happening in homes and offices? If our Scottish friends have gone to foreign places for a warm winter break, they must be rather worried about freezing and bursting pipes in their homes. And offices must be struggling with heating: just getting it right in different parts of a large building can prove a challenge.

The Whzan team has a solution for this particular energy management challenge. If you had Whzan installed to monitor your home or the office, it would not matter where you were. From the computer at the hotel, you could switch on the heating in your home and regulate it during the day to reduce the risk of pipes freezing. In the evening, before going to bed, you could set the office heating system so that it was optimised for the building overnight and nice and warm in the morning for you to arrive to.

Now, that sounds good to me!
