MiLoft from RMJM

Architects RMJM launched their concept for sustainable loft style living at this year Cannes MIPIM property fair. The apartments will use heat from appliances and the occupants activities; extracted using a Max Fordham's designed MVHR system which is designed to make it possible to eliminate the need for supplementary heat. The super insulated building also features rooftop allotments and rainwater harvesting combination. The dual aspect ,double height and open plan design for the modular units is to take care of the summer cooling requirements via natural ventilation and to help to bring the cost of construction down. The affordable solution is aimed at the inner city property owner looking to attract cash strapped residents while still producing a return on their investment.
