The Environment and Allergies

One thing I am seeing in the United States is the amount of allergies people are suffering from. The Center for Disease Control did a study a few months back door to door and saw an increase in kids with respiratory and skin allergies. I think this is probably a combination of allergies to foods such as eggs, wheat and dairy as well as various environmental triggers like pollen, pesticides, dust mites etc. I know that an eczema rash is often the result of an allergic reaction. At there are discussions on this.

In Florida there are a lot of pesticides used due to the amount of roaches, ants and other insects as well as mice and various critters. They say that bed bugs and scabies are on the rise too. This is disturbing as it seems they do need to control the problem, yet what about the environment?
I like Ghandi's quote , "Be the change you wish to see in the world". I think if more people lived by this, the happier the world would be.
