Nilfisk-Advance adds road sweeper range

The Nilfisk-Advance presence at last month's CIWM Torbay show reflected the acquisition of ALTO (now known as Nilfisk-ALTO) which is one of the world's biggest suppliers of powered cleaning equipment.

Together, Nilfisk-Advance and Nilfisk-ALTO supply road sweepers, ride-on and pedestrian sweepers, scrubber/dryers, high pressure washers, vacuum cleaners and floor care equipment to a range of customers, including public authorities, NHS Trusts and the commercial and industrial sectors.

The Paignton display showed the complete road sweeper range which offers a choice of three robust, road licensed machines, ranging from the compact RS 500 to the versatile RS 850 and the top of the range RS 1300.

The company says that the fast and highly mobile machines are designed to tackle all kinds of outdoor cleaning demands, whether footpath, car park or city street. All models have a rear steering axle for tight turns and excellent manoeuvrability.

Weighing just 1,500 kg and with a 500 litre hopper, the compact Nilfisk RS 500 is particularly suited for congested outdoor areas and can be transported from job to job with ease. It offers a 34 HP cleaning capacity plus high suction for picking up bottles, stones and other debris.

The low noise RS 850 combines high performance with an 850 litre hopper. This multi-tasking machine is small enough to clean pavements, yet powerful enough for productive cleaning of city squares and urban spaces.

Aimed at city cleaning professionals, the Nilfisk RS 1300 has a high capacity 1,300 litre hopper. The RS 850 and RS 1300 can both be fitted with an optional third brush, which extends the sweeping width and can be elevated to clean at varying heights.

This latest expansion to Nilfisk’s sweeper range continues the integration of products from Italian sweeper manufacturer Ecologica, which was acquired by Nilfisk-Advance in 2004.
