Sam Saxby, head of the Eco-Network and co-organiser of the Eco-Fair said: "We are already approaching the half way mark and stalls are disappearing fast. I'd advise any business interested to get online and reserve their top spot as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. There isn't much time to delay!"
Eco-Fair 2013 will return to Elland Road Stadium, Leeds. It is billed as the North's largest environmental event and will be held on 9 May 2013. The event begins at 8am, closes at 4pm and delegate attendance is completely free of charge. Bookings can be made online at www.eco-fair.co.uk
Last year's event was attended by over 800 delegates. In 2013, organisers predict that more than 1,000 attendees will walk through the door. Over 100 stalls will cover a diverse range of products and services - all of which are based around the main themes of saving energy, reducing waste and creating sustainability. More than 35 free seminars will also run throughout the day.
West Yorkshire Travel Plan has already confirmed its position as a headline sponsor after their success at the 2012 event. Re:Food and Building Energy Control Solutions are returning to the 2013 event as both exhibitors and sponsors. Other confirmed exhibitors include SGS, Biffa, Stroma & Constellation Lighting.
Rob Lawson, CSR manager at Provident Financial and chair of the Eco-Network attended the event last year. He said: "There is a definite thirst for knowledge as eco-awareness has moved into the mainstream. Businesses have found that they must show due consideration to the environment in order to improve their efficiency and win contracts. And, from our experience, the Eco-Fair is the perfect place for businesses of all sizes to find the practical solutions that will enable them to save money and reduce their environmental impacts."
Sam Saxby added: "Every year since the event launched in 2010, attendance has doubled. More than one third of the stalls have already been booked and sponsorship opportunities snapped up. We've got lots of exciting new plans underway - one of which includes teaming up with the World Wildlife Fund whose, head of business engagement Dax Lovegrove, is set to be a key seminar speaker.
"With the range of options diminishing on a daily basis, those interested in stalls and sponsorship will be best advised to hurry up and book fast!"
Alongside the exhibition and seminars, this year's event will also feature an expert panel with a 'question time' style debate opened out to delegates. Panellists will include a mix of environmental, industrial and political representatives with the main subject under discussion to be the Government's policy for green growth.
Other seminar speakers will also include Trewin Restorick, CEO of Global Action Plan and senior representatives from both Siemens and Business in the Community.
