ICE regional chair joins Parsons Brinckerhoff

Chairman of the Institution of Civil Engineers Northeast, Greg Lutton, has joined multidisciplinary engineering consultancy Parsons Brinckerhoff as director of environmental services for Northeast England.

With over eighteen years experience in environmental engineering in the region, Greg 42, was previously environmental director with structural and building services specialists Cundall. He has also previously been employed by consultants Mott MacDonald and Entec.

Based in Newcastle, Greg will oversee the environmental consultancy team and will be responsible for growing business regionally.

He said: "Despite what are clearly challenging times, the need to create balanced environments has never been more important. I see this as a great opportunity to further extend Parsons Brinckerhoff's already strong environmental services capability in the Northeast."

A graduate from Newcastle University, Greg has a broad track record in managing environmental projects, from the clean up of the residual wastes arising from the 1950s atomic weapons testing programme on Christmas Island, to the disposal of carcasses following the foot and mouth outbreak in 2001.
