A legal challenge, mounted by German manufacturers of mineral insulating wool, against the European Commission decision that Germany’s measure to promote the use of insulating materials produced from renewable raw materials, via the introduction of subsidies under EU state aid rules, was compatible with the EC treaty has been rejected by the European Court.
The court declared that the assistance was compatible with the common market
