The edie Sustainability and CSR Reporting Handbook 2021

Last updated: 5th May 2021

This handbook, developed in partnership with UL as part of edie’s Engagement Week 2021, provides you with the advice and expert insight you need to implement modern, best-practices approaches to the development of your organisation’s sustainability reporting.

A new era of sustainability and CSR reporting is upon us. Amid a perfect storm of new environmental science, changing legislation on climate action and corporate disclosure, and increased interest from investors, staff and consumers, businesses of all sizes and sectors are changing their approaches.

Since the 1990s, sustainability or CSR have gone from being siloed, optional add-ons to high-level focuses for businesses; in some cases, the topics covered are business-critical in the short and medium-term. With this change in approach has come a change in reporting style. The overarching format of reports, as well as their content, has shifted significantly.
