COP 16 ‘the place to be’ says Hara MD

The COP 16 Climate Change Conference is now more than half way through and continues with no concrete or binding agreements on the table so far.

The Conference started against a backdrop of gloom and low expectation for any global deal. But should we give in to a feeling of despondency and inaction?

Hara’s European Director, Nick Martin reflects on how innovation and entrepreneurial solutions are making a significant impact despite the shortcomings of the COP 16 negotiators.

He gives examples of best practice by companies which are making important changes to their businesses to reduce their carbon footprint and gain energy efficiencies.

He argues that Cancun is still the place to be this week for businesses and governments who want to continue the momentum which is already underway in the drive to cut emissions.
