£100m Northern Ireland Water contract up for grabs

NI Water is offering a £100m water and sewerage networks service contract to bidders, following an information day on Thursday 28 February 2013.

The event will be held at Antrim Training Centre to enable companies to find out more about the scope of the contract.

Bidders will also be able to meet the NI Water staff involved in the procurement process and who manage the current contract.

NI Water’s director of customer service delivery Sara Venning said: “The winning bidder of the contract will provide a range of water and sewerage services, including sewer and watermain repairs and maintenance; clearing of sewer blockages; leakage repairs and minor water and sewerage infrastructure improvements.”

“We are looking for a company which not only will enable us to continue our focus on cost efficiency and value for money but will also put the needs of our customer at the centre of everything they do.”

Senior category manager and organiser of the information day Lewis Murray added: “The information day is an ideal opportunity for companies to come along and see what is involved in applying for and managing such a large scale contract.

“The day will consist of presentations from the NI Water team who manage the contract and those who will be managing the tender process.”
