The USA is the top country for investment in renewables, according to Ernst and Young’s latest Renewables Attractiveness Index.

The UK remained in fourth place in the widely respected chart, which grades countries by assessing the incentives and other factors creating a favourable climate for renewables development and investment.

A new wave of tax credits and political support for renewables, particularly wind, in the US has kept the country in first place, and even strengthened its position.
