The consultation into the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) scheme draws to a close this week and we here about the past, present and future of the plans.

The third consultation on the development of the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) scheme end tomorrow (June 3).

The Department of Energy and Climate Change's head of branch CRC, Jane Dennett-Thorpe, whoconference in London.

CRC is scheduled to come into effect in April 2010, it is a is a cap and trade scheme which aims to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from large non-energy intensive organisations in both the public and the private sector.
