Kulveer Ranger joins edie awards judging panel

Kulveer Ranger, the Director of Environment and Digital London for the London Mayor's Office, has joined the Edie Awards for Exellence 2011 judging panel.


Kulveer’s responsibilities include leading the development of the Mayor’s six statutory environmental strategies and other discretionary environmental policies to improve London’s environment.

In addition to his environmental experience, he has a strong background in the transport sector.

He has led on policy direction for transport on behalf of the Mayor of London, which included overseeing the relationship between the GLA and TfL, in order to ensure the delivery of the Mayor’s priorities as well as chairing the Mayor’s River Concordat Group.

He also spent almost 10 years working for the Nichols Group on a variety of projects for the Department for Transport, Rail Safety and Standards Board and London Underground and was the lead delivery manager for the Oyster card project for London.

Kulveer has substantial experience in the political arena. He has advised the Shadow Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, Alan Duncan MP, and he was also Vice-Chairman of the Conservative Party with responsibility for Cities.

Kulveer will be joining the other judges on Thursday 30th June to discuss the shortlisted entries under the chairmanship of Lord Chris Smith at the Environment Agency.

The shortlist will be announced on Monday 4 July.

Kulveer has replaced Isabel Dedring, who is unable to judge the awards this year due to other commitments.
