Unlocking CRC financial rewards at NEMEX

Energy company npower will roll out the big guns at NEMEX as it explains the financial benefits for firms under the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) energy efficient scheme.

NEMEX, part of Sustainabilitylive! a free three day environmental extravaganza held between April 20 and 23 at Birminham’s NEC, will focus on energy management.

Delegates will hear from Dave Lewis, head of business energy services at npower, who will examine the financial rewards and pitfalls on offer from the CRC.

Take into account the government calculates the CRC will stimulate £1bn of cost savings for businesses through better energy efficiency.

Mr Lewis said: “A lot of businesses are turning to us for advice on the CRC and it’s clear that many are still unclear on the obligations it places on them, and the opportunities and challenges it presents.

“It’s important they understand what they need to do and how they can make the CRC benefit their business.

“This must be driven from the very top if businesses are to realise all the advantages the commitment offers.”

Mr Lewis will be speaking at NEMEX between 10.50am and 11.10am on Wednesday (April 21).
