Londonderry Garage secures £1.5M order for 13 hooklifts

Londonderry Garage has won a £1.5M order from HW Martin Waste for the supply of 13 Multilift XR26 hooklifts, which will expand the size of Martin Waste's Multilift fleet to 21 vehicles.

Martin Waste runs nearly 40 household waste recycling centres throughout the UK. The additional equipment will be used on a newly won contract to run 15 similar centres in Cheshire. The new Multilifts are mounted on 32-tonne Daf chassis. Londonderry Garage will also supply Autocover hydraulically operated, automatic sheeting systems and on-board weighing equipment as part of the deal.

Since starting in the waste business ten years ago, Martin's has always gone to Londonderry Garage for Multilift hooklift equipment. Plant manager Geoff Kearsley said: "We have a very good working relationship with Londonderry Garage. We also value their technical advice as they assisted us to purchase the right equipment for the job."

Londonderry Garage claims to be the Northeast's largest distributor of specialist equipment to local authorities and contractors.
