RecycleBank has been named in the 2010 Global Cleantech 100 list, which highlights the most promising private clean technology companies from around the world.

The company was shortlisted in the recycling and waste category from over 4,600 nominations, by an expert panel of 60 people, including representatives from IBM, GE and Siemens.

Richard Youngman, managing director, Europe, and VP, global research at Cleantech Group, said: "The second Global Cleantech 100 shines a spotlight on which companies and which technology areas the global innovation community is currently most excited about, from a commercial standpoint."

UK managing director of RecycleBank, Sue Igoe, said: "To be recognised as a leading clean technology provider is a great achievement given that so many previously listed companies have gone on to greater things. We too hope to grow in this rapidly developing sector."
