edie winners to scoop unique recycled awards

The edie 2008 Awards for Environmental Excellence are fast approaching and this year's winners will be taking home accolades that not only recognise the most impressive environmental achievements of the year, but put sustainable principles into practice.

The unique, handmade awards have been crafted by blacksmith Mike Demianow, of the Black Barn Forge in Epsom, Surrey, using scrap metal that could otherwise have ended up in landfill.

The companies that will be taking home the recycled awards will be announced on November 13 at a glittering black-tie ceremony at the Natural History Museum, in London, hosted by impressionist Alistair McGowan.

Hundreds of guests from some of Europe’s top environmental consultancies and leading businesses are set to attend the awards, which are now in their second year.

More information on the awards and details of how to book your place at this prestigious event can be found here.
