Ireland increases renewable energy use by 21%

Ireland's use of renewable energy grow by 21% in 2008 according to the report.
Mr Ryan said: "Having exceeded 12% electricity from renewable sources, we are well on our way to reaching our interim targets next year.
"With this level of progress, I am confident that our target of 40% electricity from renewable in the next decade will be met.
"This is undoubted progress in our sustainable energy transformation. It allows us to make the most of our own natural resources, and tackle global climate change at the same time."
