Helen Steed, business development manager for Npower, speaking in the Nemex arena wanted to encourage the industry and consumers to adapt and change.

She said: “It’s a tricky time at the moment economically to be pushing the renewable angle, but we need to be thinking more about it.”

Ms Steed also discussed how power companies find themselves in the strange position of helping customers spend less with them.
