The scheme aims to help mentees gain new perspectives, address challenges, find encouragement and remain motivated when the going gets tough.

Lynn Cooper, chief executive of the Institute of Water said: “We believe members will achieve better levels of professional success if they have the guidance and help of a mentor.

“The new service will form part of an overall learning, developing and networking framework that supports and develops the careers of members.

“As well as supporting younger members and those new to the industry by providing mentors, we are encouraging more experienced members to become mentors so they can share their knowledge and experience to help others progress.”
