Lawyer mulls lessons from Corby contamination case

A lawyer from a leading legal firm has spoken on the lessons to be learned from the Corby contaminated land case, where a borough council has been obliged to pay out substantial sums in an out-of-court settlement.


Last month saw the end of an eleven year legal battle which saw the families of 19 young people seeking compensation for severe birth defects.

Speaking at contaminated land conference BEX, Andrew Wiseman of law firm Stephenson Harwood spoke about the legal implications of the case and how it relates to the Part 2A regulations covering remediation.
