Adrian Ramsay was fighting the Norwich South seat which was held by former Labour big hitter Charles Clarke.

Mr Clarke was unseated by the Lib Dem’s Simon Wright with 29.4% of the vote ending his 13 years as the area’s MP.

The Greens targeted the seat, along with Brighton Pavilion and Lewisham and Deptford, as part of the party’s biggest ever election push.

However, Mr Ramsay ended his campaign with 7,095 which was 14.9% of the total vote.
