Sustainability Live partners with edie for revamped 2015 event

The UK's leading hub of energy and sustainability solutions for the UK business community is back for another year - and this time, edie is taking centre stage with a host of new features, networking events and a high-level conference.

Sustainability Live 2015 returns to the NEC Birmingham on April 21-23 with a focus on doing business better.

For the first time, the event has partnered with edie for the launch of a new Sustainability Live Conference which will feature alongside the established exhibitions NEMEX – The National Energy Management Solution; and Energy Recovery.

Amanda Barnes, chief executive of Sustainability Live organiser Faversham House, said: “With such a long-established pedigree serving the energy and sustainability sector, and by gathering extensive feedback from all of our key stakeholders, this year sees a real evolution of Sustainability Live.

“Not only have we redesigned the event to provide energy management and sustainability professionals with all of the practical and operational support they need, we’re also developing specific new content and initiatives to attract many more of the senior influencers and decision-makers.”

NEW Sustainability Live Conference

The new Sustainability Live Conference is a three-day, ticketed conference with content produced by edie and dedicated to the critical issues for business leaders and directors. Focusing on the theme of ‘Risk and Resilience’, the Conference will set the agenda for board-level thinking about key sustainability issues ranging from resource security and supply chain management to reputational risk and behaviour change.

“The Sustainability Live Conference will provide thought leadership keynote presentations from leading UK organisations who can share their energy and sustainability success stories with their peers,” added Barnes. “This makes Sustainability Live the most practical and strategic destination event for anyone with energy or sustainability-focused roles within their organisation.”

It isn’t just the high-level strategy that will be addressed at this year’s show. Three implementation theatres on the show floor will provide sustainability professionals with practical, how-to content, allowing them to drive their own sustainability initiatives. All of this seminar content is free to attend and CPD-certified. Plus, specific energy trails will lead from theatre sessions around the show floor directing delegates to the product and service suppliers that can make their projects happen.

NEMEX – The National Energy Management Exhibition

Running for more than 30 years, NEMEX remains the UK’s leading exhibition for innovative energy and resource management. More than 70 exhibitors – including suppliers of technologies, products and services from across the energy industry – will be on-show, while more than 60 expert speakers will deliver CPD-accredited practical workshops throughout the three days.

Energy Recovery

This year’s Energy Recovery show will welcome more than 30 exhibitors from the energy-from-waste sector, including specialists in advanced thermal technology, anaerobic digestion (AD), biogas and biofuel products. Sessions will focus on a range of key industry issues such as alternative transport fuels, community energy schemes and food waste.
