Industries are keen to show off carbon and energy improvements, as was the case with the impressive announcement from the travel and tourism sector.

Other good work has been done to promote recycling and reuse both at a behavioural level in London, at a practical level in Australia and at a rather unique level in Africa. Who’d have thought that poo could power our homes in the future?

Underpinning all of this are the reports that keep cropping up, showing the drastic effects that climate change will have, not just on the environment but also on the people – a case that the World Bank covered in-depth this week.

These worrying figures haven’t been helped by government policies that seem to still favour traditional power methods. But the Great British public are refusing to lose faith in the ongoing renewables revolution, which will hopefully gather pace at Paris.
