RBC (Rotating Biological Contactor)
As domestic sewage and industrial effluent treatment plants, Ovivo's Rotating Biological Contactors (RBCs) remove soluble, biodegradable, organic materials from domestic and industrial wastewater, achieving a high quality final effluent that is safe for discharge.
Driven by low power motors, the RBC technology is one of the most efficient systems for the treatment of wastewater. It is also one of the only designs to overcome fatigue problems associated with RBCs.
Ovivo also provides an RBC Remediation Service which is a unique procedure for the investigation and repair of any RBC plant (including OEM's).
Ovivo's Rotating Biological Contactor (RBC) is one of the only plants to overcome all operational fatigue problems commonly associated with RBCs; as such, Ovivo offers a minimum 20 year design-life, and an alternative RBC with a minimum 10 year design life.
Our full range of RBC systems is designed to meet the exact discharge quality requirements of our clients; each application is appraised by qualified process engineers to provide tailored recommendations for the best available solutions.
Driven by low power motors, RBCs are not only environmentally friendly, but also extremely cost-effective.
RBC Package Plants
Incorporate a primary settlement tank, biological treatment zone and final settlement tank within a single, covered GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) tank.
Features a combined primary settlement tank and biological treatment zone within the same GRP tank, and a separate final settlement tank.
Separate settlement tanks, biological treatment zones (in either GRP or concrete tanks) and final settlement tanks.
Working in partnership with Cranfield University (UK), Ovivo have developed a unique procedure for the investigation and repair of any RBC plant (including OEM's). For further information about our Remediation service, please contact us.
To minimise production costs and lead times, Ovivo manufactures a range of standard RBC rotors. Standard rotors can be installed in package or modular RBCs.
