Computer manufacturer Dell has launched a no-strings-attached service to take back and recycle any of its products in the USA.

The company will collect its unwanted equipment from homes or offices free of charge, with no small print requiring former customers to replace their old machines.

A similar scheme has already proven successful in Canada. Rivals Hewlett Packard and Apple already offer take back schemes in America, but either charge for the service or require those using it to buy new equipment.
