Edie goes audio

For the first time edie is adding audio files to its news coverage, launching the service with speeches from leading politicians outlining their climate credentials.

Environment Minister Phil Woolas and his Conservative shadow Greg Barker both addressed industry experts at the Environmental Industries Commission’s annual conference last Thursday.

Subscribers to the edie+ service can now hear their speeches in full, and the subsequent question and answer sessions.

The live audio files make fuller use of the media, allowing subscribers to listen to leading politicians set out their parties’ positions on climate change.

Future audio offering will include environmental news from London’s City Hall and industry events.

Users who do not subscribe to the edie+ can still read about the EIC conference on edie’s news pages.

As well as audio news, the edie+ service gives subscribers monthly updates on environmental law, full access to keynote articles and content from Faversham House Group’s stable of environmental magazines, alerts on tenders and contracts in the environmental sector and exclusive surveys examining of the state of environmental consultancy and salaries within the sector.

Subscription to edie+ costs from £8 per month or £50 for a full year.
