WRc man becomes head of water for Parsons Brinckerhoff

Multidisciplinary engineering consultancy Parsons Brinckerhoff has appointed Nicolas Bochereau to head its Water group for the UK, Europe and Africa.

Nicolas joins Parsons Brinckerhoff from leading firm WRc (Water Research Centre), where he was business development manager, delivering just under half the firm’s turnover. Prior to WRc, he worked as a capital planning analyst for Wessex Water and as a microbiologist for South East Water.

Nicolas will be responsible for a strong and growing water department which has advanced expertise in hydrology and hydrogeology, environmental systems and water engineering. The group is positioning itself as a specialised water service provider for local and central governments, municipalities, water companies and industrial organisations.

Nicolas said: “The water environment is facing more challenges than ever before and it is vital the resource is carefully managed. Developing sustainable communities for the future will rely heavily on our capabilities to protect and improve the exploitation of this finite resource, whilst protecting ourselves from the devastating effects of flooding. The Water group has the expertise and knowledge to provide sustainable solutions, combined with a wider Parsons Brinckerhoff capability to deliver projects throughout their lifecycle.”
