The course focuses on electrical safety for engineers, technicians and operators who work at wind farm sites.

The organisers of the course say it is unique in the industry and will give businesses in the sector the reassurance that their employees are operating to strict health and safety standards in high voltage operation.

The course is run by the Faraday Centre at their purpose-built facility and will give participants a mix of practical and theoretical training.

The company believes there is a growing demand for this type of training as smaller firms move into the renewable energy sector.

The Faraday Centre group general manager, Suhail Mitoubsi, said: “As the renewable energy sector continues to grow apace, particularly across North East England, we recognised a real market demand for electrical high voltage training designed specifically for this burgeoning industry.

“We are currently scoping out a bespoke programme for a leading global energy provider and believe the course will appeal to large organisations, as well as individuals wishing to diversify and enhance their skill-set.

The Faraday Centre has over twenty years’ experience in the power and electrical industry and works with businesses and organisations from the energy, power, marine, onshore and offshore, environmental energy, manufacturing and processing industries.
