Waste lamp recycling made easier for SMEs

Recolight has expanded its collection scheme out to SMEs, offering businesses recycling access points for smaller quantities of waste lamps.

The new scheme is targeted at electrical contractors, facilities managers, and small electrical businesses collecting less than 1,000 lamps every three months.

Under the scheme, two options are available – businesses can lease a dedicated container over a set period of time, which will be collected once full, or join Recolight’s lamp collection network.

Recolight chief executive, Nigel Harvey, said; “We are constantly looking at ways to improve the collection services that we offer, and to increase the access and ease of recycling of waste lamps.

“By making it easier for businesses with fewer lamps to recycle, we hope to be able to ensure as many lamps as possible are recycled.”

Recolight is a specialist WEEE compliance scheme for lamps.
