E.ON signs partnership deal with council

Knowsley Council and energy provider E.ON have formed a sustainable energy partnership in a bid to promote low-carbon energy for businesses and households.


As part of the Sustainable Knowsley Programme, the pair will work together to improve energy efficiency and renewable technology, with the aim of promoting new skills and stimulating jobs in the area.

The agreement was signed by Knowsley Council leader cllr Ron Round and E.ON managing director Michael Woodhead, who said through their combined expertise the partnership will help deliver the council’s commitment to “cleaner, more efficient energy, helping to combat the impacts of Climate Change”.

Mr Woodhead, said: “We’re pleased to be working with like-minded partners in Knowsley to focus on sustainable and low carbon energy technologies such as micro generation and renewable heating who can help us deliver this as part of our partnership with the area.”
