Former LowCVP chair and board member Andy Eastlake will start the role from April 16 when he will continue to support government work to deliver greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions from the road transport sector.
With a background in mechanical engineering, Mr Eastlake has also recently worked on consultancy projects for UK and European governments to develop testing procedures for hybrid and electric vehicles.
Transport minister Norman Baker said: “I look forward to working with Andy Eastlake in his new role as managing director of the LowCVP. The LowCVP is a valued partner in the challenging and important work to reduce carbon emissions on our roads.”
