Sustainable Business and edie announce Corporate Water Risk 2012

Registration is now open for Corporate Water Risk 2012, an event organised by Sustainable Business and edie for organisations from all sectors to gain practical and up-to-date guidance of the risks, responses and opportunities of water management in business.

Increasingly, companies with high dependence on water are experiencing substantial losses as a result of water scarcity, pollution or inadequate water quality. The event, supported by waterwise and WRAP will address these issues in a series of keynote sessions.

Topics include stakeholder engagement, how water footprinting fits into a corporate sustainability strategy and what investors focus on when looking at the risks associated with corporate water consumption.

Delegates will hear from 14 speakers over the course of the day from companies who are driving the development of water footprinting and stewardship. These include the European Water Partnership, Carbon Disclosure Project, Reckitt Benckiser, Coca-Cola Enterprises, WWF and Whitbread Hotels & Restaurants Group.

Registration is now open, and an early-bird discount is available if booked before 14th September.

Keynote speakers include:

Friedrich Barth, Vice Chairman, European Water Partnership

Dave Shenton, National Environment Manager, Lafarge Cement UK

Marcus Norton, Head of Investor CDP and CDP Water Disclosure, Carbon Disclosure Project

David Grant, Senior Manager – Water Risk and Partnerships, SABMiller
