Consultancy shortlist announced for Sustainability Leaders Awards

The finalists in the Best Environmental Consultancy category at this year's Sustainability Leaders Awards have been announced after being voted for by the edie and Sustainable Business magazine readerships.

This year, for the first time, we will be awarding just one consultancy award – for the Best Environmental Consultancy. To determine the finalists, Sustainable Business and edie commissioned a market research agency to survey a cross-section of our readers.

As well as investigating factors such as procurement habits, the ways in which businesses engage consultancies, the number of live projects, the number planned for the next 12 months and annual spend on consultancy services, we asked them to vote for their award winner by ranking their top three consultancies in order. We then crunched the numbers to give us the top six, including the overall winner. These are:

AECOM
Arup
Atkins
ERM
URS
WSP

Market research company Accent, which carried out the survey, is sponsor of the consultancy category this year. Accent managing director Rob Sheldon said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the 2012 Sustainability Leaders Awards and helping edie and Sustainable Business recognise excellence within the industry. The Best Environmental Consultancy Award is voted for by consultants’ customers and so really is a true reflection of the most respected consultants working in the sector. We look forward to celebrating with the finalists and the overall winner on the night”

The winner will be announced at a gala black-tie dinner on December 5th at London’s Grange St Paul’s Hotel along with the winners in all other categories – a full short list is available here.

The earlybird deadline has now been extended to September 28th, so book now to take advantage of the discounted rate.
