Digital leak location cuts noise

The latest leak-detection equipment from German technology company SebaKMT features an easily adjustable filter, Dual Segment Analysis (DSA) and a unique noise-logging function. The development team at SebaKMT have used digital technology to further reduce the influence of extraneous noises and enable the user to find even the smallest leaks under the most difficult conditions.

A priority of the design criteria was ease-of-use, and the HL5000’s compact housing makes it lighter and much more manageable. All necessary settings on the equipment can be made quickly and easily.

The DSA developed by SebaKMT means that leaks can be seen as well as heard. By enhancing the precision of leak location, the safety of the user is also improved as it is no longer necessary to constantly wear headphones.

An additional development is the Correlux P-100 laptop correlator, a powerful, computer-supported system to pinpoint the location of leaks in pipe networks. The new Twin Correlator Function (TCF) enables the detection of several leaks in one pipe. The Correlux P-100 saves the leak records for correlation and analysis at a later date.
