Event Date: 12/07/2018 1:00 pm

This 30-minute masterclass, hosted in partnership with Cranfield University, will explore some of the skills needed to develop a sustainability strategy and effectively communicate that strategy at a board and senior level to drive change.

Brought to you as part of the new Sustainability Leadership Programme developed by Cranfield University for edie’s network of sustainability professionals, this masterclass offers a taster of the full two-day course on sustainability leadership being held at Cranfield University in January 2019.

The online masterclass will be delivered by Cranfield University’s module leader for Managing Corporate Responsibility, Rosina Watson, who will provide practical tools and tips on developing a vision/purpose statement; prioritising the social and environmental issues on which to focus; and developing a top-level strategy for achieving the organisational purpose.

This 30-minute masterclass will be free to watch live at 1pm on Thursday 12 July and will be made available for anyone to watch on-demand afterwards.

Masterclass discussion points:

  • Creating a vision/purpose
  • Strategy and objective-setting
  • Influencing at board level

The full, two-day course which this 30-minute masterclass is a taster of will then help sustainability professionals assess their own organisation’s level of maturity; maximise their effectiveness whatever that level; and move their organisation forward in embedding sustainability.
